Folks… get ready for the first fully functional Subjam beta for Android.
We had no idea the funds we raised during our first Indiegogo campaign would get us this far. If you contributed, we have you to thank for this.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have found a talented developer who has far exceeded our expectations. Niza’s above-and-beyond attitude, speed at which he’s produced code and builds for us to test (14 and counting!), and extremely communicative nature has supercharged our excitement at reaching the next major milestone with Subjam. Thank you Niza!
We’re shooting for later this week to make the very first Subjam for Android beta app available in Google Play. It’s near what we call “feature parity” with the Apple iOS app, which means it pretty much does everything the iOS app does today, including:
- Create a new account and user profile, including a profile pic from your device or camera, bio and link to your site
- View current “Live” and “Recorded” broadcast feeds
- Start a live audio broadcast, complete with metadata such as stream title, description and genre, and even select a specific stream pic from your device or camera!
- Listen to live and previously recorded broadcasts
- Search for other users and specific broadcasts
- Subscribe to other users
Here’s to a great team, including you—the contributors, the local and independent artists, venues and fans, and everyone else who is making Subjam a success.
Everybody loves screenshots! Here are some fresh ones from the latest Android alpha build of Subjam:
Here’s to a great Subjam team, and here’s to you: the local and independent artists, venues and fans everywhere.
